Hi...
Come on in...
Welcome to 8 Queenscourt on Victoria Crescent!!

We are so glad you were able to come and visit tonight.
Come inside and we will show you around!

This is 8 Queenscourt. It used to be a nursing home and was remodelled and turned into an apartment house with 8 units. We are on part of the top floor. This is a very nice place to live and we were VERY LUCKY to find it--let alone to find it available! It came completely furnished. All we had to provide was bedding and linens. We left the artwork on the walls as we found it--we aren't supposed to add any more holes to the walls. However, I did hang up the pics of the kids and I strategically put tiny nail holes into the print of the wallpaper. They will never show :)

This is our door at the top of the stairs. I got the pics reversed...this should have the following few in front of it.

Here you are in the lobby and heading towards the stairs to our door.

Just inside the front door to the lobby.

This is where we enter the building and collect our "Royal Mail".

This is probably my favorite room in the place. This is a cozy kitchen and I have gotten used to it and like it!

Another kitchen view. We sit at the table and look out the window onto the river. It is really a great view.

This hallway leads to the dining room, a hall bathroom, and the kitchen.

This would be the hall bathroom.

The dining room...it also overlooks the River Dee.

Another shot of the dining room.

This is our Living Room...also the computer room. The English call this a "Reception Room".

Another view of the Living Room. Brian is watching the tail end of an Ohio State game over the computer. He is homesick for College Football.

This is what you see when you enter our flat. These Chinese pots are YUK...but, I am used to them now. The door between them is an elevator from the entry level. When I come home with my "granny cart" full of groceries I ride the elevator up and into my place. Nobody else can use it--we have a key to run the elevator since it opens up right into our flat. George and Pat Willacy are the owners of our flat. They are super nice. This flat used to be 2 apartments that they converted into one and their family used to live here. They have since bought 2 new flats in another part of town and done the same thing with them.

This is our TV and exercise room. The windows overlook the street where you enter the building.

Another view of the TV/Excercise room.

Here it is again. Lovely.

This hallway leads to the bedrooms on the main floor.

This is the bathroom that goes with bedroom number 2...

Bedroom number 2. This overlooks the street.

This bathroom is with Bedroom number 1.

Bedroom number 1. This overlooks the street.

These steps lead to bedroom number 3.

This is referred to as the "dressing room" in the upstairs.

The bathroom which right off of the dressing room...

and bedroom number 3...

Hope you enjoyed the tour! I thought since most of you would not be able to really come on over for a visit...I would show you where we are living.

Have a great day!!!

CHEERIO

BRITISH HAIR ADVENTURES

Does a good haircut REALLY make a difference?
YOU be the judge!

I swore I would never show this picture...but this is what my butch
Y E L L O W hair looked like. Isn't it pretty? Not.

This is the hair with the color corrected and a little less hair taken off!
I MISS Renee!!!

Look how handsome Brian is!
What once was...is no more. Check out the hair:

B Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z Z ...Off with your head--I mean your hair!!!
What happened?!?!?!
Well, not only have I had a misfortunate adventure with the hair dresser here...
But alas--so has Brian!
Saturday was the big day.
He sat in the chair and she accidentally picked up the wrong size cutter (don't remember what it is called) and took a swipe through his hair....oops, wrong one.
So, she had to shave the whole head.
He looks like his grandson Andrew with a "summer" haircut!
No worries, in a month it will be back.

HAPPY TRAILS!
