PRAGUE
October 2010
The final leg of our trip was to visit Prague...the beautiful city where Katie served her mission a few years back. It was so pretty there and the architecture was amazing. Lots of cultural events were being held and so much to do. Katie showed us all the sights and was able to use her Czech. She got us through the train station one day--we would have never figured that one out as everything was in Czech of course. We visited the Mission Home where she spent a lot of time (I didn't get a picture?!). She especially wanted Zach to see where she had served. It was a great place and the food was good, too. Good thing we weren't there too long or we would have doubled in size!
a view of the city of Prague from the St. Charles Bridge
On this day, there was a lot going on in the Square. You could buy all different kinds of food: cheeses, potatoes, sausages, breads, sugared pretzels and rolls...YUM! I had some of these potatoes for my lunch and they were so good. There were also bands playing music, and a blacksmith, trinkets to buy, and lots of people everywhere.
I happened to like this pretty fall window box...
This picture is from the inside of one of the churches in Prague. Everything is so ornate and OLD.
We took a carriage ride around part of the city.
We are on the St. Charles Bridge which is really cool. The views are beautiful. People are selling artwork and playing music all along the way.
Andrew and Papa...
Papa and Bibby...
These are the steps off the St. Charles Bridge where Tom Cruise supposedly ran up in one of those Mission Impossible movies. So, of course we all had to give it a try :)
Overlooking the city of Prague...beautiful!
Check out Abby's blue eyes...
Never a dull moment with Mr. here!
Check this guy out! We were on our way up to the castle in Prague.
This picture is taken in front of the restaurant in Prague where all the missionaries in Katie's mission enjoyed a wonderful Christmas Dinner--generously given to them by a church member there.

We had a wonderful time here! Good-bye Prague...
